Home4Kidz provides research-based materials designed for early childhood education. We use resources of various early childhood development materials that are also used by many local preschools and Elementary schools.
My program uses the Healthy Beginnings and Maryland Early Learning Standards (birth-8 years) curriculum for activities and lesson plans.
These curricula are used as a general guide for planning activities and lessons and we modified these lessons and activities to meet the development needs of children in my program.
We ensure that the curriculum also matches the age range of children in my program, which is between the ages of 2 years to 8 years old.
Healthy beginnings curriculum is used for children ages 1 to 3 years old. Maryland's Early Learning Standards curriculum is used for children 3 years old and beyond.
Our curriculum helps our children become comfortable in social settings through building trust, friendships, and adapting to their environment. Through the confidence, they find, children develop independence and self-control which also enable them to express their emotions and possess a positive attitude toward life. Furthermore, when children are comfortable and confident, they are not afraid to tackle new skills, learn new things, become problem solvers through cognitive thinking. Lastly, our children become strong through physical activities, increase their muscle skills and explore different aspects of what their bodies can do.
Our activities consist of:
We also incorporate our circle time in our curriculum to provide an opportunity to help your child develop self-control, positive feeling, confidence, sharing and get along with others, and develop a healthy attitude. Our daycare is an open-door policy; please feel free to discuss any concerns regarding our activities.
