My name is Natacha Michel and I am the family child care provider of Home4Kidz. I know and understand how hard it is whether it is for the first time you are taking your child to a daycare program or taking him/her to a new environment. Yes, I have been here too. When our daughter was a toddler, I went back to work. So my husband and I decided to send her to daycare.
The guilt and fear we had felt for dropping her off every time were not easy, and the many questions we had to ensure our level of comfortability didn’t quite help remedy the uneasy feeling either. When I envisioned Home4Kidz, I promised myself that one of my main goals would be to make not only your child comfortable and happy, but you also feel at home and at peace.
My desires are to:
· Eliminate these fears and awkward moments by ensuring that you don’t have to experience them in the first place.
· Help you feel comfortable leaving your child and knowing when you come back to pick him/her up he or she would learn new things, become socially enthused, and would enjoy every moment of the day.
· Provide a respectful environment for both you and your child.
· Collaborate with you on your child’s needs and goals so we can teach him/her better together.
· Keep you up to date on how your child spent the day, and inform you of our activities.
· Promote healthy meals and snacks for a healthy lifestyle.
· Last but not least, “laughter is good for the soul.” I promise to make your child laugh at least once.
· I am determined to create an environment full of learning, growing, laughing, and dancing.
My services are for ages 2 years old and up and my hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
I am a licensed Daycare and certified in Infant and adult C.P.R and First Aid, which allows me to care for up to eight children and I have kept all my certifications current. Because the safety of our children is pivotal to me, I make every effort to provide an environment that is childproofed and safe. Some of the things that I do to promote a safe environment and quality care at Home4Kidz are: as required by the state of Maryland, my staff and I have met and exceeded all health and safety guidelines, fingerprinted and background checks. Furthermore, the presence or use of alcohol, smoking, weapons of any kind are prohibited anywhere on our premises.
We also run and record a monthly fire/safety drill which prepares the children to feel less frightened if ever one should occur. In addition, we help keep our children healthy by teaching them proper hand washing, sneezing, and coughing. We also teach our children the importance of keeping our environment clean and sanitized. Lastly, no child should be left hungry. Meals and snacks time are scheduled so that no one goes more than three hours without food. Children eat Fresh and cooked meals every day.
Prior to receiving my certification in Child/Day Care, I have a bachelor's degree in Business Management. I am also a participant in the Maryland Excel program and Maryland Credentialing. I plan to further my education in national and state accreditation.
Besides working at the daycare, I enjoy spending time with my family and my friends, participating in book clubs. I also do volunteer work in the community and going to Boot Camp. In my spare time, I enjoy good books and practice music on the piano. When I need to relax, I clean. And when I need balance, my husband and daughter are my pillars.
I welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and provide you with one of the best services in Columbia, Maryland and I look forward to serving you and your child in my care at Home4Kidz – a safety net for every child.
Always at your service,
Natacha
